Elfun Society Chapter Senior Representatives

Represent Senior Interests:
- Represent Seniors at chapter executive committee meetings
- Act as a liaison between the local chapter and the global Senior Cabinet
- Establish a Senior sub-committee in chapters with large Senior Elfun populations
Communication:
- Work with the Area Director and chapters to inform Seniors of area community projects and encourage the exchange of experience and knowledge of Senior-led projects
- Encourage Seniors to use email to receive information from Elfun Society headquarters and the local chapter
- Assist Seniors in obtaining and using email, if necessary
- Encourage Senior members to update their email address via the Elfun website at http://www.elfun.org/seniors/email/ or by contacting a local chapter officer
- Refer Seniors with benefits questions to the 1-800 phone directory or to the websites, http://www.elfun.org/benefits/ and http://www.benefits.ge.com/.
Senior Activities:
- Identify and champion projects in the community that benefit the senior population, and that Senior members can embrace and execute
- Encourage chapter recognition of Senior participation in community projects
- Assist in organizing Senior-led projects
Senior Representative Succession Plans:
- Assist the Area Director in searching for and nominating candidates for the global Senior Cabinet and Vice President Seniors positions.
- Recruit and nominate a successor, in cooperation with the chapter executive board
