The Executive Committee consists of the current chapter officers and the immediate past chairman. The Executive Committee - also called the Steering Committee or "Board" by some chapters - may include the chairman of specific functions or special events and activities and the area director for the chapter. Regularly scheduled meetings of the Executive Committee are recommended in order to provide continuity of planning and a stimulus to keep the program moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly as scheduled or as called by the chairman.

• Provide advice to the chairman on matters of plans, programs, and activities of the chapter for the current and coming year.

• Promote the general welfare of the chapter by understanding Elfun purposes and contributing ideas and actions toward their accomplishment.

• Appoint a chapter officer during the Elfun year if an office becomes vacant and cannot be filled by established progression.
